Zeus needs YOUR help!

Today a puppy, named Zeus, was surrendered to Dorchester Paws after having a metal spring from a futon couch embedded into his mouth. The 11 week old puppy was rushed to Central Veterinary Hospital where he was sedated and underwent an emergency medical procedure to have the metal wire removed. An incision was made under his jaw to allow access to the wire. Bolt cutters were then used to cut the wire down. Because of the weird shape of the futon spring, the fishhook method was used to back the wire out safely. Luckily, the spring was lodged under the tongue and the esophagus and trachea are in good condition. Zeus is expected to make a full recovery and is currently resting at the shelter.

Please donate to Michael’s Healing Heart fund to contribute funds to Zeus’ emergency procedure to help him on his journey from victim to victory.
