Posie
When Posie came to us, her head was shaking and was deemed as having a neurological issue. She spent 10 days in ISO to have a close eye on her. She then went to foster to gain weight and have a home to grow in.
The foster then fell in love with Posie. She ended up being adopted by her foster and now lives happily in her forever home!
Braveheart
When he came through the doors of Dorchester Paws, Braveheart was very sick. He had an upper respiratory infection, was severely emaciated and very dehydrated. Clinic staff started him on IV fluids and a round of antibiotics to save his life. To recover, he needed a foster hero. That wonderful individual took him into her home and fell in love with Braveheart. He ended up being adopted by his foster and now lives happily in his forever home!
Saffron
Saffron came to the shelter with two puppies. They all had hair loss and were terrified. Whenever anyone tried to interact with them, they would run and hide under their beds. With the help of a Foster Hero, all 3 pups grew their hair back and were socialized with other dogs and people. All were adopted!
Pumpkin Spice
Pumpkin Spice had a rough start to her life. She entered the shelter covered in Demodex mange a serious skin infection. This little pup was skinny and shy. Luckily, a loving Foster Hero took her home. She gave her medication and time to heal. Pumpkin Spice got to learn how to be a puppy! All of her hair grew back and she was adopted soon after she returned to the shelter.
Primrose

Clover
Clover came to Dorchester Paws as a small puppy with the rest of her litter. We later found out that she had a grade 5/6 PDA heart murmur. Her spay surgery was delayed due to the heart murmur, but she was adopted by her foster! Clover wasn’t expected to live past 2 years old. Luckily, she is now awaiting heart surgery with a specialist to fix the murmur!
Dobbie
Dobbie was our first foster that we got from Dorchester Paws. When she first came home with us, she was suffering from malnutrition, mange and had been on the streets as a stray. We knew immediately that she was the dog for us to bring back from poor health.
After 7 weeks, Dobbie gained 15 pounds and regrew her hair. We discovered that she was a loving dog and fully a puppy! We had to get new shoes after some of her antics…She loved to snuggle in our laps, and did snore, but it was so adorable!
Dobbie was adopted by one of our neighbors, so we know she’s in a great environment with other dogs and a little sister.
