Is your pet missing?

Here’s what you should do: Fill out the Lost Pet Report below.
  1. Check in person to see if your pet is at the shelter and file a Lost Pet Report. This is the fastest way to ensure your pet returns home. You should check back every 2-3 days until you find your pet.
  2. If your pet is microchipped, contact the microchip company to ensure that your contact information is current.
  3. Post flyers around the area where your pet was lost. Post and search Facebook groups for Lost/Found Pets (there are several in the  area, post on as many as you can). Post on Nextdoor and neighborhood pages

Please bring proof of ownership to reclaim your pet and rabies certificate if up to date. All pets must leave in a vehicle, with dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier.

Stray animals with no microchip are held for 5 days. Stray animals with a microchip are held for 14 days before they may be adopted by a new family. It’s important to check back regularly.

By signing above I understand that this report is accurate to my knowledge, I still need to do a physical walk through at Dorchester Paws to identify my lost pet, can provide proof of ownership and that Dorchester Paws is not responsible for alerting me if my pet is at the shelter. I consent to releasing my contact information to anyone that may have found my pet in efforts to reunite my lost pet.
